Parallel Testing checkpoint 2012-02-08
Status
- We have a version of the charm that works for the buildbot demo (pyflakes) on lxc.
- We are working with a reasonable process and improving it (we have reviews, we land to a shared branch, and we have some basic tests)
- Getting it running on ec2 (which we intended to do for a demo today) has shown errors in the code and in our understanding, but we believe we are almost there.
- We have the script to configure a full lxc test environment in the LP tree.
- We have integrated the lp setup in the master, and in the slave. We are now connecting the two, which is again revealing errors, but should be OK.
- We are tracking LXC and reporting bugs, many of which are essential to
us (924337, 925024, 925028). Serge has been responsive, though the frequency of bugs is concerning.
Outlook
- machine for performance testing is coming end of week or start of next
- Charm should be ready for review start of next week
- None of us will move to performance testing until charm is done done.
Goals for next checkpoint
- Charm done done (in official charm repo, demoable with LP)
- (Stretch goal) performance testing started with preliminary results
