Launchpad at UDS-N

Launchpad engineers are attending UDS-N to participate in Ubuntu and Linaro planning, and to meet with partner and community representatives to discuss Launchpad issues.

• [/] Discuss the UI for LEP/ManagingDisclosure with stakeholders (linaro, u1, landscape, oem, hwe) and openstack.

    • [X] Need to revise mockup for the other stakeholders

  • [X] Monty from OpenStack (and Drizzle) discussed the revisions. Proposed that we avoid letter users with partial access to create owned private project branches to avoid subscriber/owner conflicts.

  • [X] Landscape. Jamu believes that there is a screen missing. The all users view rejected by ISD is still valid. Jamu want to switch between that which is granted and who actually has permission.

• Catch up with Ubuntu people/teams about specific WIP or past work (Heat, Expiry, Subscriptions)

• Wrap rotations with Brian (bdmurray) and Bryce (bryceh)

Julian Edwards (bigjools) -- Soyuz Team

• Derived Distros catch-up and progress check (Linaro and Ubuntu teams)
  • James Westby says that the current approach of not allowing a distro to be derived twice is probably OK; this simplifies our operations.
• Removal of Partner archive (Ubuntu Team)
  • Not a great deal for us to do here; the onus is on Software Center to support free apps.
  • We still need to support partner until Lucid/Maverick EoL.
  • Some questions remain over the scalability of the PPA publisher.
  • We need to finish the work that counts downloads. (It's currently OOMing the PPA machine when it runs there)
• Archive re-org (Ubuntu Team)

Paul Hummer (rockstar) -- Launchpad Code team

• Chat about U-D-D with all relevant parties

• Talk about merge queues with OpenStack folk

• Demo build-from-branch with as many people as possible.
