Navigation redesign UI

The navigation redesign discussed at SoyuzPackageUI requires us to implement new page designs for the Distribution Source Package page and the Distribution Source Package Release page. The designs attempt to reduce the number of pages scattered around with differing but related pieces of information that should be more easily accessible in a single page load.

Distribution Source Package page

The first mockup attempts to fix several things:

  • Use the product description from the upstream product linked via +packaging.
  • Links the summaries of the latest publications in each series with relevant information that is only on other pages, such as build data, diffs and its change log.
  • Removes the huge, slow-to-render and mostly useless publication history in favour of the separate "See full publishing history" link.

Distribution Source Package Release page

This page design attempts to refine the information in the existing page into a more easily-read format, and then brings in more information from other pages grouped with the binary package names.

  • Source file downloads moved to a side portlet
  • Changelog added
  • Binary package listings changed to a table format, with build information for each architecture/series.
  • File and package relationships available in the table via an expandable row.
